Pushkar Fair Tour 2011
Destination Covered : Delhi - Jaipur - Pushkar - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Ludharva - Peerawala - Dunes - Kuldhara - Jaisalmer - Bikaner - Mandawa - Delhi
Day 01: Arrive Delhi by International flight.
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Jaipur (drive, 260 km/6 hours)
Drive to Jaipur via Neemrana Fort Palace. On arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Day 03: Jaipur
Morning visit to Amer Fort and elephant ride to ascend the fort. Afternoon, city sightseeing tour.
Day 04: Jaipur - Pushkar (drive, 144 km/3 hours)
Drive to Pushkar and on arrival, check-in at the deluxe tent. Rest of the day, explore Pushkar Fair. Pushkar Camel Festival.
Day 05: Pushkar
Day at Pushkar to witness festival and cultural activities.
Day 06: Pushkar
Spend another day witnessing the festivities at the fair.
Day 07: Pushkar - Jodhpur ( 220 km/5 hours)
Drive to Jodhpur and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
Day 08: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (287 km/5-1/2 hours)
Drive to Jaisalmer. Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer.
Day 09: Jaisalmer - Ludharva camel safari
Day safari via Badabagh to visit Royal Cenotaphs and Ramkunda. Visit temples and then lunch break. On to Ludharva, the ancient capital of Bhati Rajput kings with a beautiful Jain temple. Night with campfire and dinner in tented accommodation.
Day 10: Ludharva - Peerawala-Dunes
Begin camel safari after breakfast for Peerawala, an oasis with agricultural fields. Stop for lunch and continue to reach sand dunes via Kanoi, a typical carpenter's village. Reach sand dunes for dinner and night stay.
Day 11: Sand Dunes - Kuldhara
After breakfast, safari to Damodara via Beri of Kanoi, with many water wells. Reach Damodara, a traditional village. The local folks attire is colourful so are the houses of mud. Lunch. After lunch, continue to Kuldhara, an abandoned Paliwal Brahmis village. Dinner with campfire and overnight. Pushkar Fair in India.
Day 12: Kuldhara - Jaisalmer
After breakfast, leave for Jaisalmer via Moolsagar, a beautiful garden with stone carved rest house and Amarsagar, another well laid garden and a Jain temple with beautiful carvings and miniature paintings. Arrive Jaisalmer and check-in at the hotel.
Day 13: Jaisalmer - Bikaner (333 km)
Drive to Bikaner, stopping enroute at Pokaran Check-in at the hotel.
Day 14: Bikaner - Mandawa (200 km/4 hours)
Morning sightseeing tour of Bikaner. Afternoon drive to Mandawa.
Day 15: Mandawa - Delhi (260 km/5-1/2 hours)
Morning visit havelies & temples at Shekhawati. Rates on request, tour also available on other dates without festival in Pushkar. Afternoon drive to Delhi for onward flight.
